250th birthday of United states
4 july 2026
In 2026 the United States will be celebrating it’s 250th Birthday. This “experiment”, began by some of our ancestors who decided they had enough of a tyrant who ignored the rule of law and trampled citizens rights. The king thought the colonist’s incapable of waging a revolt against his edicts. He soon found out just how wrong he was. We are descended from that fighting spirit. Our organization will likely be involved as part of the festivities next year. Join us and be part of the celebration.

“one if by land, two if by sea”
19 april 2025
Saturday marked the 250th anniversary of the famous events at the Old North Church where patriots hung lamps in the steeple to indicate which way the British soldiers were coming to invade. “ONE IF BY LAND, TWO IF BY SEA”. Thus began a series of events in Lexington and Concord Massachusetts that culminated with the creation of a new nation “one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. A promise we are still trying to fully honor. This “experiment” became one of the strongest and wealthiest nations on the planet. We must continue to strive everyday to fulfill the promises of the founders.

As we approach Memorial Day it should be remembered the power of “The Pipes” as part of the history we pay honor to on Memorial Day. During WWII a 21 year old Commando named William “Bill” Millin was attached to the British 1st Special Service Brigade. Millin , a Canadian born Scottish Piper, was the personal Piper for Simon Fraser, 15th Lord Lovat, and Commander of the 1st Special Service Brigade. This unit was assigned on D-Day to Sword Beech as part of the Normandy Allied Invasion Force. As the Commandos stormed ashore. Millin, dressed in full Kilt and armed only with his Sgian Dubh and his Bagpipes. Lord Lovat ordered Millin to begin playing, even as his fellow commandos were being cut down around him, to motivate his fellow soldiers to continue toward their objectives. German snipers captured after the battle would later say that they didn’t shoot Millin because they thought he had gone “MAD”. Millin, and his Bagpipes also saw action in several other combat zones where he continued Piping the soldiers forward, before being demobilized in 1946. Millin lived out the rest of his life in Scotland till his death in 2010 at the age of 88.
