The American Legion was chartered by the United States Congress in 1919 as a Patriot Veterans Organization. We also work with other American Legion Posts throughout the Greater Cincinnati tri-state area.

The Greater Cincinnati Police & Fire Emerald Society is proud to associate ourselves with The Shield Ohio. The Shield’s mission is to provide emergency assistance to Law Enforcement Officers who serve in the SW Ohio Counties of Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren. The Shield can provide assistance in the form of financial, and resources help to those officers injured in the line of duty, or the families of those officer killed in the line of duty, at a time when the need is greatest.

This is one of our sister organizations in the National Council of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies and is made up of mostly active and retired Law Enforcement officers from Nasau County
